Designer Of The Day: Rachael Taylor

Wow this is turning out to be an exciting week!! We had a visit from the lovely Rachael Taylor this week!! We had a good old natter and she gave Cat and I plenty to think about and tons of advise and tips!! We are both feeling extremely excited for what lies ahead both in our personal careers and with Primeur and Artistic Britain! We are definitely in awe of the brand which Rachael has created and of her work ethic obviously as well as her fun quirky designs. We're definitely going to keep following her exciting career on her blog and website!

Office Update!

It's been an extremely busy week in the office, (we didn't even get a chance to blog about it!!),

with the launch of Artistic Britain its been an excitable but stressful few days. We have been working on Artistic Britain right from the start of our placement in July. We have helped develop and design the website over the last few months, (My highlight was coming up with the slogan for the business - 'Bringing British Art Home' !!), and just generally helping out where we could.

So on Friday we popped open the bubbly and celebrated its launch! The website sells the best of British art from a selected group of 40 talented artists, Cat and I can't wait to buy our first piece! ( http://www.artisticbritain.co.uk/index.php )

At the start of the week we were tied up with a brief sent from one of our largest retailers. I had a meeting with Sales who briefed us on what the buyers liked and disliked from our proposed designs and then we CAD'd up the chosen designs ready to be sent to the supplier. We loved working on this brief due to some great themes to work on and we definitely learnt alot!

We've been decorating...

We got the fun job of decorating the reception area on Friday!  We (especially Jess) are obsessed with butterflies at the minute so we decided to get all our butterfly designs out of the showroom and into reception!

Tribal Prints

We have been working on some tribal inspired designs for cushions recently. These prints work great in interior spaces and are very popular in fashion and on the high street at the minute.
